123 spectra observed simultaneously on June 18
At 3 clock of Jun. 18, the small system of LAMOST (250 fibers, 1 spectrograph, and 2 CCD cameras) observed 123 spectra simultaneously. At that time, it was cloudy and the atmospheric transparence was below average. Exposure time was 30 minutes.
Early spectra taken on 20070602
Hi,all,
The attached are early spectra from LAMOST. There are 18 spectra in the files(in the red wavelength region). Most of the stars are late-type ones but also with a couple of early-types,after spectral classification. Just to enjoy it.

Mock Galaxy Redshift Surveys for SDSS/LAMOST
We have constructed a large set of mock galaxy redshift surveys that have the same selection function as the Data Release Four (DR4) of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). The mock surveys are based on two sets of semi-analytic catalogues presented by Croton et al. (2006) and Kang et al. (2005). The aim of the project is twofold: 1) to see how well the current galaxy formation models can reproduce the observed properties of the clustering and pairwise velocities of galaxies, and 2) to see how galaxy clustering and velocity statistics depend on different theoretical models.
